Send us a text If you know me (momo), you know that I am far removed from organized religion in so many ways that I wasn’t totally sure MaryB. and I would have anything to chat about BUT I knew this conversation was important to have. SO WE DID! It was uncomfortable, hilarious, and eye opening at so many points! She has done some traveling and so that was the first point of conversation, but very quickly it turned into me learning about her experience with her faith, her congregation, and navigating life as a queer person. Our experiences with religion and life had been so different. I felt as thought I was speaking with a person so drastically different than I, that I just wasn’t sure what was going to happen. Although we don’t believe the same things; it turns out we’re looking for the same thing in the end. Community. Love. Acceptance. For those who don’t know MaryB.
