Rom-coms would have us thinking love is about running into the guy from high school that was too into himself to ever notice us; but then one day (usually over the Christmas holidays in the small town we left 20 years ago), we cross paths. And BAM! The fireworks are undeniable. We leave our corporate jobs in the city and move to the farm with him and we live happily ever after. Um, no... When you do find someone you think could be "the one", it's important to make sure they're able to face the hard parts of life with maturity and hope.
